We are excited by the substantial number of good quality papers that have reached us by the deadline for submission and would like to thank all authors for sending their proposals.
Nevertheless, the Executive Programme Committee has decided to extend the deadline for submission until March 31st in order to give all interested authors the chance to present their latest researches at SUM 2016.
Moreover, due to popular demand, the Committee has decided to accept not only full papers (10-15 pages), but also contributions in the form of light papers (1-2 pages). Authors may freely determine which type of proposals they wish to submit. Templates are available at the end of the page. Please note that the simplest option to obtain the desired format is to type the text directly into the templates provided.
We invite the submission of papers across a wide range of topics, but we strongly encourage proposals on Circular Economy and Urban Mining in Developing Countries, as both topics will receive particular emphasis during this year edition of the conference.
You may submit your paper (full or light) by visiting the Ex Ordo abstract submission system (you will be required to setup an account first): http://sum2016.exordo.com/
The file should be saved using the Corresponding Author’s surname (e.g. Smith.doc).
The official languages of the Symposium are English and Italian. Papers may freely be submitted in English or Italian (or both) for inclusion in English and Italian sessions, respectively.
Papers will be selected following evaluation by an International Panel of Referees. Acceptance of papers will be notified to the Corresponding Author by 11th April 2016. If notification has not been received by the above date, Authors should contact the Organizers.
Accepted papers will qualify the Presenting Author alone for payment of a discounted Author’s registration fee, which must be paid strictly at the time of papers acceptance.
All papers accepted to the SUM2016 will be published on a dedicated volume of Symposium proceedings. All accepted papers will be also peer-reviewed for being included in a special issue of Waste Management Journal (the scientific journal with the highest IF – 3.220 – in the field, published by Elsevier) on “Urban Mining and Circular Economy”.
Authors presenting their work in an oral session will also be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 16th May 2016.
For any further information or assistance regarding the submission of papers, please contact the Organising Secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org
